Call for Papers
The concept of the "Design for Safety" has been advocated among IMO and European Countries and continues to gain momentum. The key issue is to address ship safety cost-effectively. Here, safety is not treated as a design constraint and a limiting factor of ship profitability but as design objective aiming to enhance the value of the designed ship at the competitive safety-conscious market.
For promoting the theme "Design of Safety", the Conference expects participation and support by Administrations, Classification Societies, Universities, Research Institutes, Ship Design Offices, Shipbuilding and Shipping industries, Oil and Gas and other industries with knowledge-intensive, safety-critical products from all over the world to exchange the latest information and innovative ideas.
All people who intend to present papers, are invited to submit original, unpublished papers in one or more of the topics such as,
- Framework on Design for Safety
- Methodology/Application on Design for Safety
- Human factors
- Ship and System Resilience
- Structural Reliability
- Live saving approaches
- Big Data for Improved Safety
Please send the abstracts with an approximate length of 300~500 words. The web site for abstract submission should be posted on this website.
